The English Fiddle Ensemble (me and my fabulous fiddle playing friends Ross Grant, Rosie Butler-Hall and Jim Boyle) are making our debut album as a band and are asking for your help to finish it off and release it to the world by launching a Kickstarter fund!

Since our first gig back in 2021, we have had the most wonderful time performing as a The English Fiddle Ensemble. As a collective of four fiddle players from different corners of the country, we have really enjoyed bringing our individual styles to the group and sharing our love of the English fiddle tradition. There has been a big response from audiences for us to capture the fun and enjoyment we have on stage together on to a recording. To achieve this, we have recorded the album in a fairly ‘live’ setting with all of us playing together as much as possible as we reimagine these wonderful old manuscript tunes.

The money raised from this Kickstarter will cover studio time, mixing, mastering, artwork, design, CD pressing and PR costs. It’s all-or-nothing – if we don’t hit the target we won’t receive any funding – so we would really appreciate any contributions, and any sharing as well!
